The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make this tiny restaurant so appealing. With a cup of delicious miso soup for $1.25 and I was fortified and happy. My partner said his London Fog latte was very good too! On a damp and cold November night in Vancouver I can think of no other place I'd like to be right now. I definitely recommend this place, and as a traveller looking for comfort and fortification, this place is golden.

They have just about everything, very accessible to transit, but parking can be hard to find during peak hours. The food is delicious, I would recommend their eggs benedict and omu-rice. Drinks and food are budget friendly and the atmosphere is very genuine. Parties above 4 will be slightly uncomfortable but will fit. Service is prompt, and you pay at the counter.

From the outside it looks like a small cafe but the inside feels quite spacious and not cramped. I love how the menu has all these home dishes that you would find in a traditional Japanese home and I haven't seen such a cute menu anywhere else in Vancouver. The whole theme is very homey and cozy. The food was really good as well, I had the omurice and had trouble choosing as they had so many options for it. The menu has a good variety of food too so I will definitely want to come back to try the other food!

It's a nice place out you want to try different Japanese dishes, other than the traditional sushi and ramen. Serves food and snacks all day long. It may happen that one or others item is sold out.Very nice and friendly staff.

Giving you 3 stars cause i like the place but i'll leave you some feedback: I've waited more than half an hour while there was a single customer occupying a table waiting for other two friends for more than twenty minutes. You should have stricter rules about full parties being present before letting people in. During the other ten minutes I waited, a table left by other customers wasn't made available and left uncleaned. I unfortunately had to give up and opt for other places to eat. I'm looking forward to come back but please organize yourself better. Thanks

The interior and decor is very unique and pleasant to the eyes. It gives off a quaint atmosphere that's both relaxing and stimulating. On the other hand, we were seated at the front and the window sills were full of debris and dead insects so cleanliness was a letdown. We tried both the Japanese-style breakfast and western one with waffles. The Japanese-style one resembled a traditional meal one might have in Japan, but certain elements like the grilled salmon were still cooked in a more westernized way. The portion size was also on the small side for the price. The western breakfast with hash browns and sausages and waffles was tasty, but not particularly different from other restaurants. It was worth visiting at least once for the unique atmosphere and decor but as the food didn't particularly stand out and the cleanliness was a turn off, we likely won't dine there again.

This place is really cool. Really reminds me of being in a little restaurant in Kyoto. The lady who welcomed and took the order at the counter was really nice. And spoke only in Japanese. Super polite and totally transport me back to Japan. I had been craving omurice and finally find a place that serves it. It was a very pleasant surprise that the atmosphere is so good!!!!! Now I just need to find a good okonomiyaki place.

Ok, let’s admit it, the location and the restaurant interior themselves are almost scaring. From the outside it’s hard even to recognize a restaurant and inside, the space, is very limited. However, the real reason why I gave this restaurant 4 stars is their unbelievable quality/price ratio. I was able, indeed, to satisfy my cravings with only 16$ and the food was pretty good. You’re obviously not going to receive a fancy brunch, but that’s why you can still eat outside without breaking the bank.Best of luck to this restaurant!I’ll be back soon!!My only recommendation to the owner is to make it clearer that there’s actually a restaurant in there
